So, here you go... (One reggae, one country, one folk, one blues cover...what???) JAMAICA BAY - I was thinking of "The Weight" by The Band. HEAVEN'S A RIDE - My brother Jon and I were carefree rockers in the late 70's, when he and Louise discovered they were about to have a baby (nephew Jamie, great guy, now a father twice himself). I recall discussing it with Jon over beers in dad's basement: options, what the hell happens now, etc. DOWN, DOWN - Inspired by Roger McGuinn's "Lover Of The Bayou". Each word in the lyric is gathered from an online search on "voodoo"...I didn't make any of this stuff up. ON THE ROAD AGAIN - Alan Wilson's "Canned Heat" recording still hypnotizes me. Thanks so much, Richard and Steve.
