Darien Fields is a singer/songwriter whom you may know as the front man for the Darien Fields Band. "Motions" is his latest musical endeavor, but this time he adopts a different sonic approach. Rather than using blues guitar licks, funky drum beats and jazzy bass riffs to back his empathetic love songs, Darien elects to have acoustic instrumentation be the backbone of this project. Additionally, he is accompanied by vocalist Brooke Richardson, and the musical dynamic resulting from their combined voices is extraordinary. Keeping true to the honest lyrics and catchy melodies that Fields is known for, "Motions" tells a story. It is a story that recalls the innocent falling in and out of young love. The narration from Darien and Brooke sounds so natural, it's almost conversational, and will surely have you hooked by the first listen, and singing along by the second.
