From his own versions of Traditional music classics to early experiments in "New Acoustic," Swamp recorded some great instrumental tracks at home and in local home studios between 1995 and 2015. This collection includes 33 tracks of acoustic solo and self-accompanied compositions influenced by Doc Watson, Norman Blake, John Hartford and ONE vocal, inspired by Roger Miller (and possibly Popeye). Swamp's mandolin heroes are Bill Monroe and David Grisman. Swamp's 'Old Timey' fiddle style was absorbed from his fiddling mentor, Jim Hoiles. Swamp has in turn, helped along several young talents, including a very young Alison Krauss who produced her first album with Swamp and Jim. Swamp plays all the instruments on this album except for banjo on several tracks (played by friend Craig Baumberger) and Kenny Hampton's keyboard on Sigh Beg Sigh Mor.
