My music is an inner dialogue that is often expressed through lyrics or as an instrumental often both. I can wake up in the morning and approach an instrument like a synthesizer and immediately get inspired by a particular sound which upon playing a note leads to another and then another... I have often felt that once three or four notes are played in a melody, the next note becomes almost a certainty. Give the nature of trilogies, I think in terms of polarities and the third option there appears to be an infinite number of possibilities. What I look for is what is most probably going forward in the work, although being a fan of Prog Rock I allow for deviation and sudden change to a new melody or beat, often just to change it up. I always make an effort to avoid abrupt changes but rather attempt to form seamless links in various sections of a song. The finished song often turns out like 'A Visual Breakfast' fresh and flowing.
