“...what pure progressive instrumental music is all about,” -SouthSide Fearless Radio “Jam band meets Eric Johnson-The Hue delivers nonstop rhythmic delight that pleases all the senses. Berklee bred and ready to shred- The Hue takes what you love most about music and throws it in your face.” -Erin Maher The Militia Group/Spaceland Productions CHICAGO'S NEW ROCK EXPERIENCE The HUE first came together as a band in January of 2007. With an array of influences drawn from jam-rock, metal and bluegrass, The Hue has succeeded in creating a totally unique and original brand of electrified instrumental music in their short time together. After a solid 9 months of undoing the Chicago music scene and tearing it up with national touring acts like Karl Denson, The Wood Brothers, New Monsoon, The Motet, The Breakfast, and Pnuma Trio, The Hue is finally ready to unleash their first studio recording, UNSCENE. Built on strong compositions written by all four members, UNSCENE was recorded and mixed at Chicago's Rax Trax Recording with producer and studio owner, Rick Barnes (Liquid Soul). Far exceeding everyone's expectations, The Hue came out with an innovative EP that was so much more than the low-key demo they originally planned for. These recordings are truly a new direction for the whole instrumental progressive rock genre, and The Hue is at last ready to revitalize and revolutionize the scene. The UNSCENE EP is a glowing sample of The Hue's unique approach to composition and improvisation, combining these elements with inventive pop song formulas, hard driving grooves, super catchy riffs, flashy and soulful guitar work, and tasteful jams. The Hue's buzz is already building nationwide, and this young band plans to spread their fresh sound far and wide. With a shared passion for live music, improvisation, creative songwriting and overall musical expression, The Hue is on it's way of becoming the NATION's new rock experience.
