简介
Jeff Root's music might best be described as a highly imaginative and idiosyncratic blend of captivating pop melodies, rock-tinged social commentary and fun, inspired by the work of sixties groups like The Beatles, The Kinks and The Lovin' Spoonful with a little Beck, Cake, and Chuck Berry mixed in. Jeff first collaborated with comedy writer, Martin Olson (SpongeBob, Rocko's Modern Life, Penn & Teller's Sin City Spectacular, Disney's Phineas & Ferb) in the mid-70s. Jeff later collaborated with surreal comedian Steven Wright and others to create a short-lived and ill-fated comedy revue with the Hot Dates band in the late 70's. Jeff has shared the stage with artists as diverse as Leon Redbone, Edgar Winter, J. Geils and Johnny A. Jeff writes and produces one record of his own original music each year as well as recording albums for many central MA bands and independent artists in his Root Cellar Studio.
