West Virginia’s native sons Farnsworth deliver 60’s layered melodies and 70’s hook heavy riffs with a sneer from the 90’s. Led by singer/guitarist C.W. Vance and backed by a solid rhythm section consisting of drummer Jason Reese and bassist Aaron Fisher; Farnsworth produces varied material that transcends decades of rock while always finding an underlying thread with the groove. The Music Korner’s Geoff Melton describes them as having “a sound rooted in old school 60’s/70’s classic rock…lots of fuzzed out guitars, some bluesy swagger, elements of psychedelia, strong infectious melodies, vocal harmonies…and a very heavy bottom end”. Farnsworth just released their current self-titled EP, and are actively recording, for a full length release in 2016, at The Fishbowl Recording Studio just outside of their hometown of Charleston, WV. Equal parts The Black Keys and The Black Crowes; Farnsworth is homegrown rock at its finest.
