Original Man is a Super Group made up of two of New York's most notorious independent Hip Hop groups, P.O.W. and Apostles. They formed this Super Group out of mutual respect and a desire to work together. Their collaboration has created a sound that is entirely unique. Their live performances combine live instrumentation and a classic DJ set-up. Original Man makes quality music with purpose. They offer a message in the form of a soulful sound that is a soundtrack for life's everyday struggles. This is the theme music for true hustlers of all kinds.

The artists that make-up Original Man are Umi & Scribe of P.O.W. and Megawatt & Griot of Apostles. They are all seasoned professionals on stage and in the studio, with each having over a decade of experience in the music industry. Independently they have shared the stage with Dave Chapelle, Mos Def, E40, Method Man and Redman, Styles P, Maceo Parker, Busta Rhymes, Dead Prez, and Erykah Badu just to name a few. Original Man's first release is self-titled and set to be released January 2012.
