简介
It all started in sunny Southern California as a solo side project fronted by lead singer, guitarist and song writer David Camarena with one acoustic guitar back in 2006. In 2008 the band became a fully assembled live rock band operating as a more serious project. In the summer of 2009 the band recorded their debut 6 song EP, “The Battle Begins” with Mike Herrera lead singer/bassist of the legendary punk band MXPX. The EP features Mike Herrera singing on Heart Like War’s first single “Today I Grew Up”. Stephen Egerton from the Descendents also lent out a hand to master the EP which was later released in September of 2009. Shortly after the release, the EP quickly acquired positive attention from fans and it eventually landed the band on indie college radio stations. In June of 2012, Heart Like War headed back to Mike Herrera’s independently owned Monkey Trench Studios in Bremerton Washington to record their first full length 10 song album titled, “Party Propaganda Machine”, the release date is scheduled for sometime in October of 2012. Heart Like War is dedicated to writing honest, high energy rock and roll music. It starts with a passion and ends with a song. What does Heart Like War mean? “We are living in a Spiritual War. Everyday is a battleground, our hearts go to war to fight the good fight, make choices, decisions, which precede our actions. Some wear their hearts on their sleeves, some choose to hide it under their words of violence; but in the end, we will all be found out, the winners from the losers. We all suffer, win or lose; let your heart decide. You must save yourself before you can save anyone else, and this is the success to victory.” – David C.
