This song about losing a beloved canine family member came straight from my heart at the time I lost my one-in-a-million Rottweiler girl. My rough draft notes while writing the lyrics have the tear stains that were present and very real. The rawness of the moment made it ever so more poignant. It is still hard for me to hear this song thirteen years later, but it also brings me comfort and a closeness to her. Maybe this song can help others through the pain of losing their faithful friends.
