简介
Songwriters write songs. Many songs. Most of them get stuck on papers, in cellphones or just in the writers mind. I realized I had a couple of hundred clips with ideas and full songs recorded over the last five years. They were all recorded fast just for memory and these clips were never intended for anyone to hear. They were all memory sketches. But I started to listen to them and once I did I realized they hit a spot. Theses takes are as authentic as music can ever be. I captured the very moment when the songs was so fresh that the singer/songwriter had no distance at all. Zero performance - maximum of presence. Since they were meant for no one to hear I never bothered to try to be good. There are grammar errors all over the place. Lousy playing at times. The voice is not always perfect. If that's what you are looking for this is not the album you need. Only a couple of these songs were released (so far) on "real" albums. Strangely I am not sure it has anything to do with theses songs being any less good than the others. The thing is that when you write so many songs it is just impossible to produce albums as fast as you write. I can see that I have had really productive periods and others when I did not write as much. Of course there are reasons for this. Some of them known to me, others unknown. In five years from now I will probably release another 45 leftovers. But here you go. Songs that will embarrass, and songs that hopefully will move. Songs of longing. Songs as a way of make sense of it all. Naked as we come. Naked as these songs. /Andreas Magnusson (Pinto, Oblomov)
