Sensere, a gospel neo-soul and rock group based in South Florida, began their musical journey in 2003. Sensere was founded by James “JDubb” Wright, lll. The group’s sound is a step back into the future to a rock-infused, soul based gospel music sprinkled with an assortment of live horns, guitars, and shocking vocals. Wright’s talents are in his genes. He played with his father’s band for at least a year before starting Sensere. Wright wears many hats with Sensere; he writes, arranges, produces, play lead guitar on live gigs and does background vocals. He also shows versatility by playing drums, bass and keyboards. Things really began to change for the better with Sensere after they partnered with music veteran Eddie Pugh in 2008. Pugh have worked with Warner Bros., Casablanca Records & Filmworks and Columbia Records-that totaled in excess of twenty five years of corporate and marketplace experience. Pugh’s keen eye for talent and promotional expertise has helped other artist rise to the top, and is now being applied to generate exposure on Sensere. In 2009, Sensere’s new birth continued with the recruitment of Brian Williams (vocalist), Terrell Terry (vocalist), Wildmayer Marcelin (guitar and saxophone), Darryl Efford (trumpet), Charles (trombone) and John John (drums). This new birth connected with the original member Dwayne Charlton (vocalist), to witness the new era of Sensere. 2012, and 2013, Sensere was ready to leave the 305 and the 954 area code and expose their talents to a much larger audience. Sensere was featured twice (2) on Atlanta 57 Television, two (2) appearances on The 700 Club on The CBN Network, Bobby Jones Gospel on The B.E.T. Channel, two (2) appearances on TBN’s 15th Street show in New York City. There were two (2) appearances at annual street festivals in Chicago, as well as church venues. There were several appearances at various churches and parks in a number of major cities, including Sheila Belle’s annual concert in the park, located in Richmond, VA. Sensere performed at South Florida’s prestigious 7th annual “Jazz in the Gardens”. They were the first gospel artist to perform at the festival. Sensere also shared the stage as a featured artist with “Mary Mary” at the Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, Florida, playing to a seated audience in excess of 5,000 patrons.
