Mr. Anthony? Who is this guy and why should we care? Doesn't the music speak for itself, isn't the vision of a song like "The Terrible Beauty" enough? Does it matter where these lovely songs came from, what experiences produced such wonder and insight? We may wish to know more, but to what end? Will it alter our appreciation for the ecstatic, hard-edged "Unless I Die" or the tender ruminations of "World Without End"? Some think he is a fresh new voice offering an alternative to the emptiness we hear today, singing eternal verities in a package sweet and pure. Others think they hear a more experienced voice speaking to them, history and faith informing every note. We know who he is. A troubadour sharing what he knows and hoping you will listen, a simple man with stories to tell. Put all the distractions of the day aside, find a restful place and just listen. All songs on "The Terrible Beauty" were written and performed exclusively by Mr. Anthony in his home during the Summer of 2011.
