Lowheart are a hard-edged Australian Rock and Country recording duo from Victoria's southern bayside region, consisting of singer/songwriter/guitarist Jason Lowe, and lead-guitarist/bassist/producer Simon Hart. The album "Lost and Found" is the stylistic meeting of their two previous albums "Act on Impulse" and "Long Hard Road" - taking the anthemic hard rock sounds of the former, and incorporating the acoustic-based country/folk/blues and ballads featured on the latter set. Alongside rockers like the defiant opening track "I Ain't Done", the catchy "Country Voice", the angsty "Be Your Own Guru", and the powerful "Blowin' a Fuse", are ballads such as "Come Back To Me", "Lay Your Memories Down", and "You and Me". "Split Personality" reveals the country side of the duo's sound, while "Where Do I Go From Here?" adopts a more folk style, with an introspective, observational, and narrative lyric. Retro blues sounds can be heard on "Take Me On Back" and "Caught in Another Trap", while the bouncy pop sounds on "Don't Waste My Time", "Dim World View", and "On Your Own" bely the darker lyrical subject matter. "Lost and Found" is a diverse set, which showcases Lowheart's various sounds and influences, all with a strong melodic sensibility.
