For decades in my 45 year career as a harpist, I have recorded music for others: harp and chamber ensemble, harp and orchestra, harp and choral group, harp and children's choir, harp and organ, harp and voice, and even a few avant grade pieces that no one wanted to hear! This CD, HarpSounds, is my solo recording, my preferred harp music, played my way! I chose all my favorite pieces from the vast world of music to play on my stellar Lyon & Healy Concert Grand 23. It's for that elusive and hard to find time that we all need just to unplug, a time to read a book by the fireside; a quiet moment in these hectic days.

It's not grandiose, it's not competition music, it's not harp cadenzas nor opera excerpts; it's not long, boring graduate recital pieces...it's simply my favorite collection of pieces that I recorded in the studio with my dog, Lily sitting by my side.

It's what I have done for many years; It's what I still do, because it's what I love to do. What more can I say? Dr. Bev
