John Farrell is a 21st century minstrel who travels the world promoting peace, respect and understanding across and within cultures. John has visited over 1500 schools in 25 countries and is the founder of Bridges of Peace and Hope, a 501c3 global non-profit organization. He has received numerous awards including a "2016 Freedom Through Literacy Award." This is John's 8th CD and he is also the author of 3 picture books from Boyds Mills Press, including Stargazer's Alphabet," an IRA Notable Book of the Year. "It's the Little Things," John's first new CD in several years is a collection of songs with positive messages. Our world is divided with seemingly non-stop negative commenting about what's wrong with and about those we don't agree with. Lost to some degree in these exchanges is the overwhelming common threads that unite us all. The vast majority of people everywhere love their families, care about their communities, want to live in peace, and help others, and believe that children are our most precious resource. The new CD, with wonderful artwork and design by Gini Frank Fischer celebrates love, hope, kindness and children. The CD was produced by my long time collaborator and brilliant musician Jeff Miller.
