I believe that everyone at some time in their lives has had thoughts of hopelessness, but there's a higher power that will lift us up & give us life. "You Are Intro" is an an introduction to the song, "YOU ARE". I decided to do this live because I wanted to share my HEART with you. I wanted it to be free from anything tainted. No pre-lyrics or studio editing. This intro is a love song for all of YOU. Why you may ask? Well because whether you know it or not, we ALL are inspired and we bring inspiration to others in many different ways. With all the negative events that are going on in our world today and are being broadcast in the media, it can really bring us down. The focus is taken off of what is most important. I want to be influential in bringing our FOCUS back to what is real and true. We were all created for a great PURPOSE! As I look over my life, I know that I didn't get here solely by myself. It was YOU! It was my God who saved me from suicide when I was a teenager, and has given me purpose. My husband who showed me was love truly is and taught me how to trust again. My children who are my legacy, and gave me reason to live. My family who raised me, and have supported me continuously. My friends who have prayed and lend their shoulders for me to lean on. It was the wonderful mentors that I have met on this road of life, who have pushed me to step out of my comfort zone. The boss who showed me favor and gave me that good job that would take me to the next step in my life. Neighbors who waved, or the custodian who greeted me. The co-worker who advocated for me, or the organization who helped me when I was most in need. Oh yes, it was the sweet presence of the children who embraced and looked up to me. My supporters who always tell me how beautiful my voice is, and keep me wanting to give you more fresh and meaningful melodies. Oh! Let me not forget the ones who spoke against me, or said I would never reach my goals. Each of you have been a blessing to my life, and I am Grateful for YOU. Now take a moment to think about your life. How many of you can relate to certain parts of my story? I want to plant a seed in your head. Whether it was a kind gesture from someone, a sentence in a book, or a positive quote on a billboard you happen to pass on the road. I believe that God will send exactly what we need at the exact time that we need it. Those times where we need it the most. He will lift us up, and help us do the impossible. Out of our obstacles and painful experiences, will become GREATNESS! That Greatness is what can save lives, and change the world. I hope that you are inspired by my music.
