Nick David releases his debut EP with MFR Records entitled Matter of Time. The three track EP provides the North London based record label with a rare deep-tech record. Nick David eases us into his EP with the first track My Time. The heavily, downward-echoed track provides a no nonsense, four-four centered drum pattern ready for all the zoned out party people. From the hollow samples to the rumbling baseline, this one is subtle but not to be slept on. Nick David powers through with Different Experiences. This rocking tech jam hurls kicks against some shifty and oppressive bass to create a light carnival inspired track. The various sound effects and glitchy vocal sample used throughout will have no qualms with slamming against your eardrum relentlessly and making you shake a leg on the dancefloor. Closing the EP with more warped and muffled sounds, the London & Essex based producer provides us with the softer No Disrespect. Sounding full of emotional depth, contrasted with its cocky southern American vocal sample and high pitched sound effects, this one can be used as a steady driving energy for any raving night out.
