The club scene in the spring of 1982 was a totally different animal than what it now is in 2014. The dancefloor was then ruled by both dance music, soon after disco had gone into the underground (to later resurface as house), and dance-oriented alternative, which was at the beginning of its post-punk global dominance. One of the biggest underground hits that spring was B-Movies Nowhere Girl, which became one of the most influential progressive alternative club tracks of the era, reaching the Top 10 in many countries, alongside tracks from such similar artists as Tears For Fears, Depeche Mode, Soft Cell, and Kraftwerk. The updated versions feature B-Movie original vocalist Steve Hovington, paired with Canadian producer Max Julien (backed by some fantastic playing by Richard Levy on both piano and electric guitar), with two new fresh takes: the Original Classic Mix, influenced by the 1982 version, as well as the retro-influenced Club Remix each with a fresh crossover sound and appeal that is sure to explode across dancefloors everywhere
