Nick’s sound is at once gruff, delicate, and soulful, infused with baroque sensibilities. Greatly influenced by classical music, he is however, almost totally self-taught, and his live keyboard compositions are completely improvised. This album combines songs and instrumentals from a single live cafe performance. Nick has triumphed over considerable adversities and was the feature of a BBC funded documentary "The Characteristics of C-Minor" (2014). Those dark times have left quite an impact on his vocal quality as trauma and sensitivity collide. Unusual & hard to pin to conventional genres, somehow both celebratory and haunting.
