Producer, songwriter, and percussionist Ralph MacDonald leads a cast of who’s who musicians and singers that include, Steve Gadd, Will Lee, Abraham Laboriel, Chris Parker, Rob Mounsey, Clifford Carter, Jeff Mironov, Robert Greenidge, Tom Scott, Michael Brecker, and Ricky Marrero. Vocalist Nadirah Shakoor duets on the timeless classic, “Where Is The Love” and the sultry “Watching You, Watching Me”. Singers, Sharon Bryant, Loni Groves, Sharon Jerry-Collins, Vaneese Thomas, Babi Floyd, and the late Frank Floyd create the perfect background vocals to complete this tropical setting. A native of Detroit, Michigan, a city known for producing great singers, Dennis says he knew even as a young child, that he was destined to be a singer. Raised in a musical family, everyone played an instrument and sang. “Our home was filled with all kinds of music” he says proudly. From an early age, he was surrounded by the music of Motown, and pop greats like Sam Cooke, Nat King Cole, Sarah Vaughn, Tony Bennett, Roberta Flack, Judy Garland, Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder, Donny Hathaway, Earth, Wind & Fire, and Sly and the Family Stone. Throughout his career he has recorded and performed with other great artists such as James Brown, Ray Charles, Aretha Franklin, Bob Dylan, Luther Vandross, Jason Mraz, Chris Daughtery, Whitney Houston, Beyoncé, Patti Austin, Bette Midler, Diana Ross, George Benson, Celine Dion, David Bowie, Al Jarreau, Billy Joel, Sting, Willie Nelson, Patti LaBelle, Marc Cohn, Sheryl Crow, Jimmy Buffet, Nelly, Blue Man Group, and many others.
