Belgian improviser,André Goudbeek is best known for his work on the Alto Saxophone & Bass Clarinet with; Brotherhood of Breath, The Willem Breuker Collective and many other ensembles. This recording represents André’s work on the Bandoneum, a German instrument usually associated with Tango, In this case it is expressing a more sensitive and retrospective repertoire of set pieces and free improvisations. André Goudbeek has lived on the reed laden banks of the river Zenne in the Belgian country side for the last thirty years and much of this music represents his close & profound relationship with that environment.
