简介

CHRISTIE LEE PALAZZOLO … Born April 20, 1992 from Windsor, Ontario, Canada. Christie takes pride in writing about her feelings and experiences. Being primarily a pop writer, Christie incorporates a modern rock twist into her songs.  Christie was fortunate to be born into a musically gifted family. Her father, a musician, producer, teacher, songwriter and vocalist in Windsor, introduced singing and playing the piano to her when she was just 4 years old. Throughout the years, Christie gained performance experience through various singing competitions, talent shows, theatre productions, and recording in her father’s studio. Given these opportunities, Christie began writing her own songs and taught herself how to play guitar, later being perfected by the mentoring and coaching of her father. By the age of 17, Christie auditioned for the Windsor band “One Man Out”. Christie and her band regularly started performing at Caesar’s Windsor Casino, festivals, weddings, private parties, and many other events around the Windsor area and Michigan. With the confidence and experience gained by these opportunities, she began recording her own songs. Christie also began teaching vocal lessons at the Canadian Conservatory of Music in Windsor, and continues to teach there today. At the age of 19, she was chosen out of hundreds of singers to take a lead role in a Caesar’s Windsor Casino concert. The show was called California Dreamin’, and it played in the Colosseum for 6,000 people, two times.  At the age of 21, Christie was asked to perform the theme song for the International Children’s Games which took place in Windsor, Ontario in August of 2013. She then shared the stage with Canadian singer/songwriter, and Juno nominated artist Suzie McNeil in the singing of “Don’t Stop Believin’”. This event involved forty countries participating in Olympic style games. The event was televised in all of the countries involved, and seen by a direct audience of 10,000.  Christie graduated from the University of Windsor for Drama in Education and Community in June of 2015. By November of 2015, Christie released her first single “Misfit” on iTunes, which received radio airplay on various stations in Southern Ontario, along with her other original songs ‘Goodbye’, and ‘Free’. In January 2016, Christie sent in an audition video for an up-and-coming Network TV show titled, “The Song”, highlighting artists original songs, set to air in the fall of 2016. Christie entered her song “Alive Today”, and was selected as one of fifteen songwriters out of over 7,000 submissions from artists across North America to participate in the filming of the TV show in Muncie Indiana. This opportunity ran all of the participants through gruelling workshops and bootcamps in order to see whose song would come out on top. Christie was the only Canadian chosen. Christie worked with the following industry professionals: Eliot Sloan, from the band Blessid Union of Souls, Drew Copeland of Sister Hazel, and Mark Liggett, a world renowned producer, working with notable artists such as Kira Isabella, George Michael, Queen, New Kids On The Block, and Robin Gibb of the Bee Gees, to name a few. The panel of celebrity judges for this TV show were Lisa Loeb, an American singer-songwriter with various hits, including “Stay”; Skip Bishop, former Sr. Vice President of RCA records, MCA records, and Sony Music Nashville, working with artists like Carrie Underwood and Miranda Lambert; Shelly Peiken, an American songwriter best known for her hits “What A Girl Wants” and “Come On Over Baby” made popular by Christina Aguilera, as well as “Bitch” by Meredith Brooks, and “Who You Are”, by Jessie J.  Now, at the age of 24, Christie has completed her first EP with Marty Bak of SLR Studios, comprised of all original songs, and just recently signed with MIBE music, a publishing company from New York as a songwriter. Christie continues performing solo gigs at various venues around Windsor, in which she plays and sings cover songs, and her original songs on piano and guitar. She continues to play with her band every weekend, as well as writing and recording her own songs.
