Hi I was a Baptist pastor for 25 years during which time I wrote many of these songs but never had the time to produce an album! I recently took early retirement in order to care for my disabled wife and so with more free time have been able to produced this album. I find that congregations struggle with some songs due to difficult tunes and rhythms or words that don't quite fit! I set myself the challenge of writing songs that are not only a joy to sing but also say something worth singing about or listening to. Have I succeeded? You judge! These songs are (I pray) true to scripture and are certainly born out of both the smiles and tears of life. You will find songs for congregations to sing and songs to listen to in styles ranging from contemporary praise band to reggae to acoustic.
