简介
Dias grew up between the redwoods and the ocean, in one of the few cultural Mecca’s between San Francisco and Portland – the county of Humboldt, in the far reaches of Northern California. His father, a longtime songwriter and performer, mentored Dias when he picked up his first two instruments: the bass at age 9, and the guitar at age 10. The young talent started writing songs immediately following his introduction to the guitar, and was performing live with his father by age 11. In high school Dias connected with some musicians, who formed a band called Still Risen. “We played a lot of school events and later through annual festivals,” Dias said. “When outlets or venues for our music dried up, we created our own, throwing massive parties for our young fans sometimes bringing in more than 500 people. We were always highly motivated to play, we had to be in a place as small as Humboldt County personal drive is a must.” Still Risen was the only band in approximately 30 years to play at the junior prom. After high school, Dias emerged as one of Humboldt County’s youngest and most talented Blues & Rock guitarist playing bars by age 19. By age 22 Dias decided it was time to venture out. He packed his things and moved to Austin Texas were he performed for over year. Upon his return from Austin Dias decided to shift his focus to writing and producing. Before long Dias opened Littlebird 54 Studios a full service recording studio it was here he Co Wrote & Produced his first top 40 song To Love You Co written and produced by Dias it charted thorough out Europe. After 15 years of performing and writing, and his families and local following’s repeated requests, Dias finally released his debut album (self-titled) in May 2006. “I had released demos before, but never an album. They just kept saying, ‘When are you going to release some of your stuff?’” he said. “I finally did it.” With the help of The Client Warner Band Dias packed one of the largest casinos in the county with long time friends and fans that had been waiting for his first official release. After the local success of Dias’s first release Dias has been playing venues in and around Humboldt County and has made repeated solo tours back to Austin Texas playing songwriter showcases during SXSW were he is still well received by friends and fans. Recently Dias took a break from touring to record his second studio release More Love which was released in 2007 Dias continues to write record and perform locally throughout Humboldt County and Northern California.
