Multitalented musician/ singer-songwriter Sawan Dutta is based in Mumbai, India. She writes, composes, produces and performs across a wide array of genres and musical styles. As a professional, she wears a formidable range of hats. She has worked as Music Director in Bollywood Feature films such as Chai Pani Etc and Mumbai Delhi Mumbai. She has created scores for some of the best known shows on Indian television, such as Kaun Banega Crorepati ( Indian adaptation of the iconic Who Wants To be A Millionaire) hosted by Amitabh Bachchan, India Poochhega hosted by Shahrukh Khan, BBC India's Mastermind hosted by Siddharth Basu, fiction, food, travel and lifestyle shows and documentaries on National Geographic, Fox History Channel, NDTV and many more. She has created and sung ad soundtracks and jingles for commercials on TV and radio for some of the largest indian and global commercial brands. She has worked as Music Producer non film albums for legendary musicians such as Ustad Amjad Ali Khan, Amaan and Ayaan Ali Khan and several other artistes. She has scored / produced award winning soundtracks for stage productions such as Dadi Pudumjee's Transpositions, and for historical installations such as the Guru Tegh Bahadur Memorial in New Delhi, India and for the Leela chain of luxury hotels across India. An architect by education, she has studied western classical piano and operatic vocal technique and works in her own composer's studio on a combination of Logic and Ableton Live. She is enthusiastic about design in all its forms, and loves to sketch, take photographs on her phone cam, read, write, travel and make her own music videos.
