From getting over a tough breakup, to the loss of a loved one, to just a bad day, songwriter James Lockhart sings of the reasons to nurture what small bits of hope that we may have in these times. When it's not putting a lighter spin on the harder parts of life, "Keep Hope Alive" features many tracks that belt out unchained happiness, expressing the hopeless romanticism that comes with a band in their late teens. Musically, the duo breaks away from their traditional guitar and ukulele sound to deliver folk, jazz, rock and bluegrass sounds into their new material.
