The Bipolar Mind Ep series began, first of all, from a reflection on myself; how I have been making music for a long time while in the grips of depression. I headed to the United States without knowing the severity of the disease plaguing my mind and soul, and I wanted to capture in music the times I spent there while living alone. As the disorder in my mind and spirit became worse, I had many dark and painful thoughts, but I also think that I am able to continue doing music until now thanks to the fun times I had and memories I made; so I would like to release this Ep series (part 1 & 2) to which I have given myself. Like the many people around the world who live with mental disorders, and as someone that has experienced the sensation of slipping into an abyss without even being able to try out what it is that they want or enjoy because of exhaustion and hardships from life, this has been an opportunity for me to realize once again what it is that I like and to rediscover my purpose. I wanted simply to express my thoughts and to give voice to my truth. Ps. The feelings that you receive from the world while living with bipolar disorder are not embarrassing, something to be hidden. If you can control yourself and use these emotions for your own purposes, then I think it can definitely be a blessing from God. Bipolar Mind EP 시리즈를 만들게 된 계기는 오랜 기간동안 우울증에 사로잡혀 음악을 해온 제 자신에 대한 성찰에서부터 시작되었습니다. 그리고 제 마음과 정신에 대한 병의 심각성을 모르고 미국으로 향하게 되었는데 그 시간동안 홀로 시간을 보내며 생활을 했었던 저를 음악으로 담아내고 싶었습니다. 시간이 갈수록 마음과 정신은 더 불안정해져 괴롭고 힘들고 안좋은 생각을 많이 했었지만 나름 또 즐겁게 지낸 시간들과 많은 추억들이 있기에 지금까지 음악을 할 수 있었다고 생각하여 이번 EP 시리즈에 담아 Part 1, Part 2 로 나눠서 내보고자 합니다. 정신질환을 가지고 사는 세상에 많은 사람들, 그리고 힘들고 삶에 지쳐 내가 원하는 무언가를 시도해보지도 못하고 나락으로 떨어져가는 기분을 느껴 본 사람으로서 음악을 다시 시작하고 만들면서 제가 좋아하는 것이 무엇인가를 다시한번 깨닫는 계기가 되었고 삶의 목적을 되찾는 계기또한 되어 진실되게 제 생각을 담아내려 노력했습니다. 조울증으로 살며 이 세상으로부터 받는 이 감정들은 창피하고 숨길게 아니라고 생각하며 그 감정을 잘 조절하여 자신이 가진 삶의 목적을 위해 잘 살릴 수 있다면..저는 분명 신으로부터 받은 축복이 될 수 있다고 생각합니다.
