Bringing a harder edge to the table, "I Own The Air" is truly an adventure in sound and composition. "With 'I Own The Air' I push some boundaries," says Paul. "It feels like such an adventure to me. When I write music I just let the music, let the muse, guide me. I do the best I can to stay out of the way. Sometimes that music is solo piano. Sometimes an acoustic guitar part leads the way. And sometimes, it's more aggressive than that. I just write as I write, then compile them in sensible order. This album is a compendium of my most recent 'edgier' tracks, including electronics and electric guitars." Drummer Mark Zonder and guitar player Joel Steven both appear on "I Own The Air", each bringing their inspired playing to the sound and feeling of this new release from Paul.
