Amir brings the R&B smoothness to the team, while 500 paints the picture and imagination. Throughout this album we did a lot of traveling, finding new inspiration, and recording these songs. The song Foot 2 the Floor was originally recorded in the bay area then re-recorded in Miami south beach were we were able to collaborate for a bigger sound. As our smash hit, played national on radio stations with over 5,000 spins, it was a great jump off. We sold 500,000 ringtones independently which put us on the map. Finishing this album was hard for both of us when in the middle of our project; we lost our brother, shot and killed in Oakland just getting gas down the street from his home. But 500 & Amir stayed strong through the fire and finished it in dedication to our brother Antar Bey aka Baby Boy a song written for him.
