Playz is Santa Cruz California based hip-hop artist who was born in the East Bay of California. Influenced by the world around him, he got into trouble with crime & drugs at a young age without a positive male role model to guide him. With that being said, he learned quick how to overcome the devistations of self made consequences for poor decision making. He's not perfect but he's still learning. You can hear his journey and self educated wisdom through every song that Playz records whether its fantacy or non-fiction. With a healthy distrust for the ignorant but a huge heart for the ones who thrive to better themselves, Playz prides himself on labeling his sound as message music.

Playz has been writing songs since he was 15 years old. He has done songs with a few well known artists such as Joe Cutter, Gorilla Voltage, Kung Fu Vampire, Dirtbag Dan, Mars, Madchild of Swollen Members, The Jokerr, Equipto, Adam Patterson of The Expendables, Fury Figeroa and in 2014 was given the opportunity to contibute to a cypher that featured Tech N9ne. He enjoys collaborating and constructing what he refers to as "Masterpieces" that build his legacy.
