Kampion are an English French Pop duo based in London. Their music is inspired by Pop, Folk, Rock and Soul influences. Their songs are as eclectic as their musical taste. Borrowing from these influences, they have created a truly unique sound. Jon, born in london, has been involved in creating, producing and performing music for many years. Through this experience, he has learnt to appreciate true talent when he hears it and he heard it in Elisa, the second she sung with her unmistakable voice. Elisa arrived in london city from france in 2008 to pursue her dream of writing and performing great music. Knowing londons reputation for being the centre of the u.k music scene, she begun searching for a project to get involved with, which is how she stumbled across Jon. They formed Kampion in 2009, and quickly started writing songs with a goal of creating catchy, cool and memorable music.They maybe from different counties and cultures, but whenever they write or perform together, there is a definate spark of creative chemisty. In 2009 they recorded a folk/acoustic album called 'All the Usual Cliches', which has been recieving local radio play up and down the uk, Especially their haunting anthem 'hope is a bird'
