Growing up in the Washington DC punk scene on the tail end of the riot grrrl movement, Gina started playing guitar, writing zines and recording demos. She then moved to Brooklyn and started touring nationally, including two Warped Tours (all 50 stops in the US and Canada), Queer Fest Midwest, the Estrojam Festival, Homo A Gogo, LADYFEST in NYC, DC, North Carolina, Ohio and Colorado, the POPMontreal Festival and the NACA Northeast Showcase. Gina has shared the stage with artists such as Team Dresch, Mirah, Kimya Dawson, Paramore, B**ch & Animal, Alix Olson, and even Le Tigre once, back in the day. She has collaborated with artists as diverse as Scream Club, Bonfire Madigan and Jill Sobule, and her music has appeared on PBS and Dawson\'s Creek as well as in numerous independent films. Gina is interested in the intersections of gender and performance and has written and directed three off-off broadway plays: she cuts herself/she likes to write, phone|sex|cancer and God in a Girl. Her fourth play, Salt Water, is currently in development. Gina\'s primary gig at the moment is with electro/hip hop duo TEAM GINA, with whom she tours and records. So... after a long hiatus from singer/songwriterdom, gina has just released her third solo album, 3AM VOICE. This lo-fi gem was recorded with Cindy Wonderful of Scream Club and Joel Seward of Doomhawk (formerly of the Pharmacy). The album was mastered by Radio Sloan.
