I started out playing in my garage in Wink, Texas and taught Roy Orbison how to play guitar. I have performed on stage in my life with such greats a Jim Reeves, Carl Perkins, Del Reeves, Ray Price and many others both in Nashville and across the U.S. and Canada. I had the great privilege of touring with Waylon Jennings and David Houston. I wrote this song, 'The Man from Texas' as a tribute to my great friend, Boxcar Willie. I worked The Grand Ole Opry with Boxcar Willie and performed at his theater in Branson, Missouri and in The Loft Lounge in Branson. I hosted Songwriter's Night at the Country Kitchen Lounge in Branson, Missouri. I am a member of the Rockabilly Hall of Fame and the Traditional Country Music Hall of Fame. I have received numerous awards for my music and guitar.
