Born and raised in a home filled with laughter, music and God at the centre, Salliefoyeh is passionate about what she does and she does it with joy. She began her musical journey by learning piano at age 6 and achieved her grade 8 at age 18. In 2008, with the gentle nudge of a friend, she entered a school talent show and has been performing since then. Her style has evolved over the past 3 years and could today be labelled 'acoustic soul'. A self-taught guitarist, she writes and composes all of her songs, influenced by artists such as Lauryn Hill, Amel Larrieux, Corinne Bailey Rae and the music from her childhood – Destiny’s Child and Alicia Keys amongst others. Salliefoyeh has performed in a number of venues all over the country and is praised for her warm personality and infectious melodies.
