This is my debut album. I put as much as i could into this album. I want to live life like i have always wanted, in the music world. Parrish was just 15 years old when his passion for music burst into fruition. First learning to play bass guitar then lead guitar and by age 18, piano, he discovered pop and R&B music—and had an epiphany. “I felt as if music had changed my life forever,” he says. “I knew then that I wanted to do music for a living.” He began composing lyrics and then accompanying instrumental tracks, searching out session singers to bring his songs to life. With a love for soulful voices, Parrish added strains of urban and hip-hop to his repertoire. Meanwhile, he continued to absorb popular music, noting, “During school, listening to the artists that influenced me would make my day better than words can describe. If I was tired, music would energize me.” And that is precisely the feeling that Parrish intends to share with the world with his new EP “Life Run Down.” Each of the five tracks features raps from Cardiac. This project follows his 2013 six-track soul/R&B release “Love in High Places.” Now, at 19, Parrish is truly ready to take on the music world. He says, “I want to be surrounded by music for as long as I live—to know that people are listening to my songs and that my tunes are making people happy.”
