Patrick Thomas and Cherie Oakley met while filming NBC's hit television show "The Voice" season one. Patrick was chosen to be mentored by Blake Shelton while Cherie Oakley was chosen to be mentored by Christina Aguilera. Both artists were able to perform in front of over 14 million television viewers while on the show. Cherie, an already established songwriter returned home after filming to attend her first number one party for Reba's "Turn On The Radio". Patrick returned home and signed his first publishing deal with renown songwriter Brett James, WB Music Corp/Music Of The Corn.
