Jimbo has written many, many songs but the one song that has truly become his “Signature” song is “The Kings of Orebank.” Jimbo wrote the song during the week prior to his first ever “Jimbo Whaley and Friends” concert in 2004. He thought that he would only sing the song once in public and then just at family outings from there. He had no idea that so many people would relate to the song. The tune carries you back to a simpler time in life, when you went outside after breakfast and didn’t come back in til after dark, playing with friends, enjoying care-free times.

Jimbo's band "Greenbrier" is known for their aggressive style and high energy performances. Their cover of Journey's "Don't Stop Believing" saw over 2 Million views on Facebook and hundreds of thousands on Youtube.

The best compliment the band gets from fans is: "I really never liked bluegrass music, but I loved that!"
