"Him and I Gemini" is an album that was inspired by my life experience as well as love, particularly one relationship I had. It tells a love story that starts off sweet and mushy, but begins to fall apart and disconnect before sh*t hits the fan (pardon my french) and I hit rock bottom. But the the album ends on a positive note, for I have alchemized the experience and come out stronger, inspired, and ready to love again. The story is reflected throughout the album, not only in the lyrics but in the music as well. I arranged it so the first few songs were light and fluffy, and it progressively gets darker and bluesier until you hit track number 7, "Yoohoo" which is straight face-melting rock! Then it unwinds and lightens up again at the end with the final song "A Sleeping Bee" which is an old standard written by Harold Arlen and Truman Capote. The lyrics represent love as a sleeping bee, if he wakes he can sting you, but if you catch the right bee and he doesn't, then you know you have found the one. "Him & I Gemini" was based off of my own experience, but I think its a story a lot of people can relate to.
