Following their smashing Tribute remix (Erik Rug feat. Dynamax/LDT 002), L'aroye & KY (also producers of the timeless broken soul classic "Be the one" feat Humphrey - Faces records/2004 ) are striking back on LDT with a stormer. Teaming up with american rock soul vocalist Marilyn David (Playin 4 The City - The Flowriders - Cerrone - Shade of Soul - The Monikeerz ), mister Arroyo aka L'aroye and his partner KY are delivering an epic rock/funk fusion number. Storm original version is a full on organic song including the inevitable funkey Honner clavinet, and every spicey ingredient to funk you. For those knowing their previous work, L'aroye & KY are using here a quite unusual rock drum pattern to make you move like never. Think Brainstorm, think Mother's Finest, think Beat it by Michael Jackson or Prince (Dirty Mind Lp), think Norman Whithfield productions Just listen, you' ll definitively agree. B-side is THEE club side. It has specially been made to Storm the dancefloors and rock your world. The 80's rework vocal version and it's analog keyboard riff and bassline should make you think Abraxas - Genesis, Michael Jackson ( did we say that already ?), Phil Bailey & P.Collins "easy lover" or even Van Halen sJump. Dj's not using much vocals are served too with the 80's rework instrumental. This track could easily feature in an 80's blockbuster soundtrack like "Back to Future" or "Ghostbuster", unfortunately, L'aroye and KY were babies at the time. 'Storm' Carribean remixes ( Grant Phabaos reggae rmx, latin boogaloo and other versions ) will come out on Les disques du telegraphe later for spring 2007when sun will be back.
