Rescuer came out of a dark situation brought into the light...and the songs reflect that. These songs are an internal look at how a lot of times we mess up our lives and we need someone to pull us out, but also when we are pulled out of those situations to remain grateful. The tracks progress through a journey, and that of lead vocalist Jon Hopp. When pain meets love is an EP that shows how we get ourselves into tough situations and we don't allows succeed, but fall flat on our face. Admitting to the wrongs, realizing we're lost, and turning it all around for something better. One of the beauties of Rescuer is our diverse love for different genres of music from rock, pop, soul into hip-hop, ambient, blues. When pain meets love definitely has a song for everyone. With Only with You being our pop/rock side, Flowing Down being more soulful, Incandescent having an alternative/easy-listening feel, Your Name is Love bringing out the hip-hop/pop of Rescuer, and finally Watch Over starting out soft-spoken, but then coming in with the right hook. From beginning to end, this record was mapped out, thought out and is a direct reflection of one man's heart, but connects with so many others' lives.
