Music has always been a passion and joy for Jermaine Faber. At the early age of 10, he began directing the Eagle Lites Children's choir at the Mt. Eagle Baptist Church in Chicago,IL. This is where his love and education for music began to develop. He attended the Sherwood Conservatory of Music at the age of 12 to be trained as a classical vocalist and studied classical music for six years. The training he received paved the way for Jermaine to travel overseas to Italy and Spain several times. By the time Jermaine was 14, he shared the stage, lending his background vocals for great artist at the Chicago Gospel Fest such as Yolanda Adams, John P. Kee, and Vickie Winans. He also performed that same year with Calvin Bridges. At the age of 16, Jermaine formed his group, JFAM (Jermaine Faber & Anointed Ministries), which blended classical, jazz, negro-spirituals, and old school gospel all together to praise the Lord. God Blessed this group to minister with Kim Stratton, Darious Brooks, and many more. In 2005 JFAM was the 1st place winners in the Gospel Radio 1390 Praise Sing Off, which involved numerous choirs from the Chicago land area. Jermaine Faber studied Vocal Jazz performance at Columbia College of Chicago and later at Roosevelt University. Jermaine and his group of singers have ministered with the North Carolina Gospel Announcers Guild, Chicago Area Gospel Announcers Guild, Dr. Bobby Jones, Juanita Bynum, MaryMary, Martha Munizzi, Chicago Mass Choir, and at the Hurricane Katrina Relief concert with Kirk Franklin, Percy Gray, Donald Lawrence and many more. As Jermaine wrote many songs for his debut project, he called on several artist to help his vision come to pass. "All I Need", features Evelyn Turrentine - Agee, "Don't Let Go", features Blanche McAllister-Dykes. This album fuses Jazz, Neo-Soul, traditional and contemporary Gospel, with a touch of hip-hop to reach the hearts and souls of millions. Jermaine currently works as Minister of Music at the Cathedral Missionary Baptist Church in Chicago, IL where the Pastor is Dr. Otis L. Anderson Jr.
