简介

Every once in a while a new album comes along that makes you listen. Uncommon still is one that makes you listen two or three times, but that describes the long-awaited release of Pillow Talk. In his debut release, Muskogee, Oklahoma native, L. Boogie presents an array of musical selections that reflect the ups and downs, as well as the happiness and heartache of love and relationships. It encompasses a variety of tracks filled with lyrical expressions of one's experience with sex, love, lust, infidelity and intimacy; just to name a few. His songs detour from sentimental hip-hop clichés and speak directly to the risks and vulnerabilities of the heart. His stories circumvent conformity, drawing from a deep emotional well where only the brave men dare to go. All this he balances with his gift for witty musical reality, keeping the listener intrigued with satires like "I Treated You Bad" L. Boogie will gently charm every female listener with the ladies' anthem entitled “Miss Exclusive” featuring vocalist Jedidiah Tottress (J-Dida). He transparently confesses of an affair in “Regretful”. He gracefully moves the listener back and forth between spoken word expression in “Ain’t No Sunshine” to up tempo and soulful joints like “I’m In Love” featuring Georgia-based emcee, Beige a.k.a Issuez of Major Issuez Entertainment. Although he is a new comer to the solo scene, L. Boogie keeps musical company with an impressive array of producers such as Ron Wallace Jr. (Styleeon of 3rd Lane), YESSIR of Denver, Colorado, Beat Masta Wes and his own production company, Boogie Boy Productions. He has produced various other projects for local artists and is featured on several albums including S.O.C.’s Back On The Grind, Kingdom Business and Block Workin: The Comp. Joining L. Boogie on this recording are Sterlin Mooney, Kriztyle, Roxanne Combs the Femme Fatale, Lil’ Rick, Bigg Freaky, KaRon Hall and others. If you enjoy good music, this album is for you. If you're in love, out of love, in need of love, looking for love, or desire to feel love, this album is for you. So, to you, the listener, I invite you to do as I did. Sit back and listen once, then again and again to the soulful interpretations of Pillow Talk. -Written by Lana Gilliland Des Moines, Iowa
