F.I.L.T.H is a modern, American heavy metal/metalcore band in the styles of bands such as Soulfly, The Butcher Babies, Pantera, and Slipknot.

An Ode to Decay: The Armageddon Strain is F.I.L.T.H's sophomore release. The evolution of the F.I.L.T.H sound should be very apparent in this recent release. The first half of the album contains catchy rock riffs, plenty of groove metal moments, and a heaping helping of energy and excitement. The second half of the album takes a darker turn, focusing on lyrics with cynical social commentary, brutal riffs, but still maintaining a strong, noticeable groove. Fans of the original F.I.L.T.H self titled EP will still enjoy this recent release.
