Since 1988 the Café-Concierto of the Teatro Pereyra in Ibiza ( the world famous Spanish " Party Island " where electronic and dance music reigns ) has been offering the most incredible live music sessions every night. Owner, Pianist & Producer Eric-Jan Harmsen sees his stage as a kitchen where he is the Chef, cooking creative worldclass Musical Meals by bringing over talented Musicians and Vocalist from all over the planet and present them in all sorts of different combinations. The Music you experience live at the Teatro Pereyra can only be heard there and no where else. The amazing Cuban Saxophonist Rafael Garcés has been part of the Menu on and off for the past 4 years and since he is a Master of the Keys aswell he was backing up, together with Eric-Jan on Piano the magical live performances of New York " House" Diva Barbara Tucker that made the roof come of, Summer 2011 at the Teatro Pereyra Ibiza. But every night at midnight Eric-Jan and Rafa started the show with an Improvised Piano-Saxophone Duet to warm up their souls and charge their batteries for the Gig. Eric noticed that some people started coming early especially for these Piano-Saxophone Improvisations and many asked him to make an exception and record them, since the Chef has always opposed " take-away meals ". So on Wednesday 12th of October 2011, Eric-Jan gave in and recorded these 10 pieces of Musical Poetry as a tribute to Rafael Garcés, a truly Gifted Musician and Wonderfull Person.
