I'm a "kompozer", which means that I create music through online collaboration with fellow musical artists around the worldusing web sites like Kompoz.com and Fiverr.com. In this sense, I make use of "virtual bands" that never come together and actually play the music live. Thus, while I can put together some incredible new music, there's no way to follow the standard path of release and promotion, i.e., via live performances. This is the disbenefit of being a kompozer. The benefit of creating music via online collaboration is that I'm not tied to a single group of artists, so I'm able to generate a wide variety of music that taps many different talented singers and musicians.
