Midnight Man is a collection of songs from the incredibly gifted Ralph Kelly, guitarist and songwriter. The album features Ralph's songs in various musical settings, showcasing his deep musical range and his complex fingerpicking guitar style. Although he uses traditional fingerpicks, Ralph shows us a guitar style that is unique to the guitar world. His songwriting features chromaticism, voice leading, and the simultaneous use of bass, harmony and melody to create textures and colors that are musically fresh and always entertaining. His songs explore many moods and styles, making the album one that can be listened to over and over. All songs recorded at Northwoods Music Studio, Reed City, MI from June 2013 though February 2014.
