Together less than year, Audri & Aaron are wasting no time in making a name for themselves and getting their music out to the world. Formed in April 2010, this acoustic/soul/pop duo quickly found a home in influences ranging from Norah Jones, Amos Lee, Colbie Caillat, Michael Buble and Henry Wolfe and began to shape the songs and sounds that will define a long career for the band. Teaming up in college near their hometown of Alton, IL, the band consists of Audri Lucasey on vocals and violin, and Aaron Kellim on vocals, guitar and piano, Most recently, the band won “Small Town Sound, a national campaign to find the best unsigned, female fronted band in America presented by retail brand maurices, PlayNetwork, and Sonicbids. With nearly 700 bands entering the contest and tens of thousands of fans voting, the band won “Small Town Sound” by writing the song “Home” and the fans weighed in. As part of the prize, the band hit Los Angeles to record the single and shoot a music video for “Home” with PlayNetwork Media Group, as well as a stop at SXSW 2011 in Austin, TX, to play the private Small Town Sound showcase. Audri & Aaron are currently working on their first full-length album with PlayNetwork Media Group, with US touring plans throughout the summer and the fall 2011.
