Hi, I’m Marco and this is my band. We live in a little town near Rome in Italy.

I began to play guitar and sing at 18 and after a week I wrote my first song. After two years Toni, the Drummer, came to drill at my house. He told me a friend has talked about me and my songs to him. He wanted to make a band with me and our story began. We began to play everywhere (only drum and guitar, not usual for a band) in our area, people invited us to all genres of festivals but after three years we had to stop. Toni was forced to go to work in Holland and our band ended. Italy wasn’t a good place for our music. We were just a curiosity, just a band playing a music so different from the usual Italian music. So I went to work too. I began to make artistic works on marble and I kept to play and singing at my home. This holding on till the day Toni come back to Italy. We decide to make the band again. After a week I met Roberto, the bass player, in a shop and he told me he would like to play with me. So the new band starts again but we need a name. A lot of names came out, all sort of names. Then I remembered the name of a little Finland city called “Sysma”, noted when I visited Finland some years before. This name captured my mind because we have a similar word in Italian: Sismo. It means “earthquake”. So Sysma became the name of our band. Last August I left my work to dedicate all energies to this project. We decided to create a 14 tracks album last September. Some of our best songs. We recorded them in our studio and then I went to London where the songs were mixed by Matt Lawrence in two studios (Metropolis and Sphere).
