Adam Lewis was born in Sacramento, CA in a poor family. Raised in a small one bedroom home, on a two acre plot of land, this middle child of three boys learned to work hard, and play harder, oblivious to his parent’s monetary problems. Adam wasn’t aware at the time that his life in this little home would shape the songs he would write later. He didn’t know that sitting in the tree fort with his brothers at the back of his yard listening to the rain slap lightly against the wooden roof would teach him that the silence between each drop is precious. The smell of mom’s failed brownie experiments was as delicious as her successes. That chasing the dogs down the street when they escaped was as memorable as it was frustrating, and feeling the garden soil under his fingernails was such a little, perfect thing to experience when picking the tomatoes he grew himself. What could he place into the sounds of silence that filled the world over? Adam needed to hear and play his song. The song that filled his soul the very moment he began to listen for it. While he enjoyed the sounds of Acoustic Alchemy, Tommy Emmanuel, Bob Dylan, and Neil Young, Adam knew that he wasn’t hearing his song. He had to make his own sound. That is how he found his guitar. He started to write poems and lyrics about the things around him. That is how he found his voice. Now Adam is attending a university in Missouri, learning music composition, and piano, among other things. He is venturing forth into his next adventure.
